Krea University commences academic instruction online

A smart, secure, collaborative and stimulating life on campus



Krea University is located at the sprawling 3,00,000 sq. ft. campus at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The campus currently accommodates over 300 students with contemporary educational and recreational infrastructure.

Spread across 40 acres, Krea University's 'smart' campus is designed to stimulate learning and interaction. Equipped with tech enabled classrooms, latest learning tools and research facilities, the campus also provides ample space and infrastructure for sporting, cultural and other leisure activities. Facilities like the Student Interaction Zone, Art & Cultural spaces have been specially designed to facilitate greater interaction with peers.

The three residential towers have air-conditioned, twin-sharing bedrooms, recreational lounges and other facilities. An eco-friendly campus, the natural green spaces here inspire students to engage with nature too.

Student Life

Krea University’s 40-acre campus stands about 60 kilometres north of Chennai in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. A world-class campus, replete with modern amenities, it enables faculty and students to co-create a vibrant learning community. The following are the highlights of student life at Krea:

  • Self-curation : Students have ample opportunities to design their own student life at the campus through student councils, residential councils, student clubs and regular town-hall meetings with faculty and administration.

  • Well-being : Student well-being is at the centre of Krea’s campus design with a range of amenities for sports, performing arts, yoga, meditation, gardening and cooking. A dedicated medical and wellness centre takes care of students’ physical and mental health requirements.

  • Residences : The residential towers have air-conditioned twin-sharing bedrooms, recreational lounges and laundry service. The student residential councils are active in co-creating events and activities outside class hours to deliver an enriching living experience for all students.

  • Peer-learning : Krea’s learning ethos dictates that students learn not only from the faculty members, but also from each other. Hence, classrooms are designed to ensure lively debates and discussions in the classroom. Outside the classroom, multiple shared spaces such as student lounges, study spaces, and cafes enable students to mingle and learn from each other

  • Creative expression : With acclaimed professors of practice, writers/poets/artists/scholars-in-residence, student life will be abuzz with creativity. Spaces such as the auditorium, amphitheatre, media lab, makerspace and learning centres allow students to express themselves in myriad ways.

  • Porous boundaries : At Krea, we are breaking the silos between the classroom and the real world. We create porous boundaries between the two by constantly inviting real-world experts and practitioners to deliver events and workshops at our campus. Simultaneously, we enable students to explore field-based and outdoor activities.

  • Digital experience : Krea leverages state-of-the-art technology to ensure students have a seamless campus experience. We also utilize upcoming virtual-reality and e-learning tools for students to keep up with digital learning trends.

  • Sustainability : Krea campus has state-of-the-art energy, food, water and waste management systems to ensure sustainability of the campus. Solar panels, rain water harvesting, grey-water management, organic farming and abundant green spaces reflect our commitment to the environment.

  • Food : Krea places an emphasis on a balanced and wholesome diet to promote healthy eating. The dining hall serves a range of multi-regional and multi-cultural cuisine. Students also get a chance to try their hands at organic farming and cooking to form a more intimate relationship with food.

  • Safety and security : Krea University already has a dedicated security chief for the campus. The campus has appropriate access protocols to ensure a completely safe and hassle-free environment for students. Ms. Archana Ramasundaram, IPS, (former DGP and DG - Sashastra Seema Bal) is on Krea’s Board of Management to provide critical inputs on security-related matters.

  • Transportation : Krea facilitates easy travel and access to Chennai and nearby connectivity hubs via regular shuttle services.


The library includes rich collection of over 30,000 books on various aspect of Management, Social Sciences, Literature and more. In addition, the library boasts of over 105 Indian and International journals in print form and more than 4500 e-journals available through Online databases. The library also has varied collection of Audio Visual materials in the form of CD-Roms and DVDs. It subscribes to six online databases that provide access to Industry/ Company statistical information.

Equipped with all modern facilities,the library provides a conducive environment to the users for their learning and research. A fully automated system ensures efficient delivery of library services and circulation of books and other library material.

OPAC: provides the facility of searching, browsing, and reserving physical materials available at library. Users can log in, check status of the issued books, suggestion, fines, create reading list etc.

Pulicat Lake

Pulicat Lake is the second largest brackish water lake in India and encompasses the Pulicat Lake Bird Sanctuary, a haven for bird lovers in December.

Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary

Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary (NBS) is located in the Nelapattu Village of Nellore district. Migratory birds from China, USA and Antarctica are spotted here and the sanctuary is famous for its large population of pelicans. The best time to visit is between October and March.
