Dr Jayaram Ramakrishnan, a practicing cost and management accountant (Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India), has been associated with IFMR GSB since 2008 and currently serves as a Professor of Practice of Finance. He imparts knowledge in Cost & Management Accounting, Strategic Cost Management, and Financial Accounting across full-time, part-time, and EMBA programmes.
With a PhD in Cost Management and recognised as a Qualified Management Accountant from CIMA UK, Dr Jayaram R brings over two decades of experience in Cost & Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Internal Audit fields. His academic journey includes roles as Faculty at SIRC of ICAI, RKM Vivekananda College (Madras University), and as a Visiting Faculty at IIM Trichy.
Beyond his contributions to the PGDM program, Prof Jayaram R actively participates in IFMR GSB’s Management Development Programmes tailored for working executives. Additionally, he holds the position of Director at Pro~active Solutech (India) Pvt Ltd, a consulting and IT solutions company specialising in the design and implementation of Cost Management systems. The company is also engaged in providing Audit, Assurance, Legal, and Risk Management services.

A practicing cost and management accountant, Dr. Jayaram R has been associated with IFMR since 2008, and is currently an adjunct faculty. He teaches Cost & Management Accounting, Strategic Cost Management and Financial Accounting in full time and part time Programmes. He has a PhD in Cost Management and is a Qualified Management Accountant from CIMA UK. Dr. Jayaram comes with more than a decade and half of experience in Cost & Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and Internal Audit Fields, and is a Fellow Member of Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of India.
He has also served as faculty at SIRC of ICAI, RKM Vivekananda College (Madras University) and as a visiting faculty at IIM Trichy.
Apart from teaching in the PGDM program, Prof Jayaram is also actively involved with IFMR’s Management Development Programmes for working executives.
