Lakshmi Padmakumari

Masters in Commerce (Finance) and Bachelors in Commerce (Taxation Law & Practice) from the University of Kerala, and a PGDBA with finance as specialization from Symbiosis Institute, Pune

Prof Lakshmi Padmakumari started her career as an assistant professor at IFMR Graduate School of Business, wherein she handles subjects namely Foundations of Finance, Corporate Finance, Accounting for Managers, Derivatives and Risk Management, Financial Time Series Analysis and is also actively involved in corporate training. She has a Masters in Commerce (Finance) and Bachelors in Commerce (Taxation Law and Practice) from the University of Kerala and was the University first rank holder for both the programs. She also has a PGDBA (Finance) from Symbiosis Institute, Pune. Prof Lakshmi was awarded Ph.D. in Finance in 2018 by University of Madras, for her dissertation titled, ” An investigation into the level dependence in the volatility of asset returns.” Her research interests include asset pricing, volatility estimation, risk management, corporate governance and financial markets. She has also participated in a number of conferences at national and international level to present her research work.
