Prof. Ramesh Subramanian is a central banker with 23 years of experience. He was formerly Assistant General Manager in the Reserve Bank of India and worked in Department of Banking Supervision, Department of Banking Operations and Development, Foreign Exchange Department, Department of Non-Banking Finance Company, Department of Currency Management etc. He has also served as Assistant General Manager in a leading private sector bank that is over 100 years old. During his career, he has set up the Risk Management Practice, implemented Basel II norms in the Bank, and has been involved in Policy formulation. He has been a Member Risk Management Committee of Executives, Member Audit Committee of Executives, Member Asset Liability Management Committee and Head- Operations of International Banking Division of the Bank. He has also held senior management position at IFMR Trust - Head Governance of Group Companies, Policy formulation, Member Audit Committee etc. He holds an M.Com degree and he is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (C.A.I.I.B).
