The University Grants Commission and the University of Madras organised a two-week online refresher course for the commerce and management faculty members of several colleges in Tamil Nadu and other states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 17 September, 2024, Professor Sathyanarayanan R, Associate Professor of Marketing, IFMR GSB, Krea University, was invited to address the participants in this refresher course with the overarching theme Staying Ahead of the Curve: Understanding Emerging Markets and Global Trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Sathyanarayanan delivered the module on Case Studies of Successful Business Models in Emerging Markets and discussed the 9Ps – Problem, Perception, Per Capita Income, Pricing, Provenance Paradox, Promotion, Partnerships, Path-breaking Ideas and the Paradigm Shift with interwoven case discussions on the business model strategies of brands like Mocemsa, Skinn, MG Hector, Desmondji, Kellogg’s, Starbucks, M-Pesa and Jumia in Africa, Mercado Libre of Latin America, Gojek Indonesia, Emirates, Mahindra, Infosys, Dr Reddy’s, Hero Motors, TVS Motors, Xiaomi, etc.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session was well received, with enthusiastic participation from the faculty members during the presentation and Q&A session.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
