The Office of Inclusive Learning Support (ILS) provides support services that are available to all students. Our goal is to ensure that every aspect of campus life and the academic experience is inclusive and accessible to students, faculty members, and staff alike.
Inclusivity and advocacy are two integral pillars for us. Our efforts aim to ensure equal participation and learning experiences for all students, including those with disabilities. Currently ILS supports students with visual impairment, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, psycho-social disabilities, and other neurodivergent conditions.
In alignment with our commitment to facilitating learning support, the Office extends its services to provide academic support for students from marginalised communities and challenging socio-economic backgrounds, helping bridge educational disparities. The Office also advocates on issues of gender, sexuality, etc., and encourages a culture of inclusivity and accessibility on campus.
The Office assesses needs on a case-by-case basis to make recommendations for reasonable accommodations on campus. Additionally, the Office is involved in creating an active space in the University that could be used for advocacy, education, and awareness regarding accessibility, diversity, and inclusion.

We support individuals with disabilities by providing them accommodations and striving to make their University experience more accessible. Our approach is tailored to each individual’s unique needs, and we work closely with our students. This commitment is in line with The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, and the University Grants Commission’s Accessibility Guidelines and Standards for Higher Educational Institutions and Universities for Persons with Disabilities.
At Krea, we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all. Students struggling with mental health concerns can access resources like peer support and mental health professionals.
We aim to empower individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. We extend a variety of support from accountability partners, peer tutoring, and support with executive functioning among other resources.
For Assessments and Examinations
A separate space, extra time and a scribe are available resources for students with disabilities.
For Assignments
Extensions for students registered with ILS are provided in consultation with their professors.
Assistive Technology
Canvas, the learning management system used by Krea University is an accessible platform. Additionally, we work with students to convert academic material into accessible formats for them.
Accessible Infrastructure
There are consistent efforts to make the campus more accessible to everybody in terms of the infrastructure. Separate housing is also provided for students with special needs.
At Krea, we believe that taking care of your mental health is equally important as excelling in your studies. ILS actively promotes awareness and understanding of gender diversity. To create an inclusive and safe environment, we have implemented several initiatives, including establishing all-gender washrooms, providing transgender students with the option to select hostel accommodations aligned with their gender identity and expression and recruiting queer-affirmative counsellors to offer tailored mental health support.
We are committed to fostering an environment of respect and understanding through regular sensitisation sessions for students and staff.
In 2024, Krea University was awarded for ‘Academic Inclusion’ in the India Education Equality Index (IEEI). The University was acknowledged for an inclusive curriculum and a strong support system that values diversity, ensuring LGBT+ students feel recognised and supported in their academic journey. IEEI empowers colleges and universities to self-assess and monitor their progress in creating safe, respectful, and inclusive environments for all students, irrespective of their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or sex characteristics (SOGIESC).
The University is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for students from diverse and historically marginalised backgrounds, including those related to caste, class, disability, religion, gender, and linguistic background.
In alignment with this goal, the University offers a strong financial aid programme, a holistic admissions process, and dedicated support systems to help students from marginalised groups thrive academically and socially. ILS also organises events that foster awareness, dialogue, and empathy across differences.
We are continually working to ensure that every student feels seen, heard, and supported throughout their journey on campus.
ILS is deeply committed to respecting the privacy and autonomy of every student. Any information shared regarding a student’s gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation is treated with the utmost confidentiality. This information will not be disclosed to any other university office, faculty, staff, parent, or guardian without the student’s clear and explicit consent.
It honours each student’s right to choose how, when, and with whom they share their identity. The team supports students in a safe, respectful, and affirming environment.
Academic support services encompass a range of resources designed to assist students in their educational journey. These services often include tutoring, study skills development, workshops, access to learning materials, and personalised guidance to help students excel in their coursework.
