About the position:

The Vice Chancellor’s Office, Krea University is looking for a dynamic administrator and an excellent communicator to support and manage the Vice Chancellor’s Office. The Deputy Manager/Manager will work closely with the Vice Chancellor and will play a key role in the University by providing effective administrative, managerial and research support to the Vice Chancellor. This facilitative role will require the person to maintain utmost confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. An ideal candidate will be someone with a high level of integrity, excellent oral and written communication skills, high standards of professionalism and emotional intelligence.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to the Vice Chancellor for meetings with the Governing Council, Board Meetings, University Senior Management, drafting agendas, and taking minutes and notes
  • Following-up on outcomes of meetings and next steps for implementation as advised by the Vice-Chancellor
  • Drafting and managing all communications from the Vice Chancellor’s Office
  • Preparing, researching and collating information for critical documents, speeches, presentations and policies as and when required by the Vice Chancellor
  • Coordinating with the Communications Team to facilitate and develop important communications from the Vice Chancellor’s Office or any other internal department as and when required
  • Overseeing and managing the archival and documentation of all key decisions, reports, meetings, minutes, data pertaining to the University for the Vice Chancellor’s Office
  • Working and liaising effectively with all key stakeholders and facilitating reporting to the Vice Chancellor, especially on time sensitive issues
  • Providing project management and research support for special projects (both academic and non-academic) being led and undertaken by the Vice Chancellor
  • Coordinating and overseeing the University visits for key visitors and guests invited by the Vice Chancellor’s Office

Skills and Education

  • At least a Master’s degree from a top tier institution will be required
  • At least 2 years of experience working with senior management position holders would be preferred but not mandatory. Persons from diverse backgrounds can apply although experience in higher education/education fields will be an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively, conduct extensive research, and work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Ability to support the Vice-Chancellor in their research projects and academic initiatives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Powerpoint etc
  • Strong organizational, project management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and with complex projects
  • Ability to take up emergency assignments and perform them effectively
  • Ability to maintain high professional and ethical standards
