Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- As a Senior Manager IT, you will be responsible for overseeing network management and upgrades, leading the development of software applications, and demonstrating exceptional vendor and budget management skills to support the university’s IT infrastructure.
- Network Management:
- Develop and implement strategies for the efficient operation of the university’s network infrastructure.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of the network, keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner.
- Software Application Development:
- Lead a team of developers in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications tailored to the university’s specific needs.
- Collaborate with university departments to identify software requirements and ensure alignment with academic and administrative goals.
- Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing to optimize the value of technology investments.
- Evaluate and select vendors based on the university’s needs and budget considerations.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the IT department’s budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make recommendations for budget adjustments as needed.
- Ensure IT projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
- Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership and guidance to IT teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Coach and mentor staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on the status of network upgrades, software development projects, and IT expenditures for university leadership.
- Maintain documentation and records related to network configurations, software applications, vendor agreements, and budget reports.
Sr. Manager will have to visit Sri City Campus based on Organization’s needs.
Skills Required:
- Network Management: Proficiency in network design, configuration, and maintenance. Familiarity with networking hardware, protocols, and security best practices.
- Software Development: Strong understanding of software development methodologies, programming languages, and application architecture. Experience with web and mobile application development is a plus.
- Cybersecurity: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including firewall management, intrusion detection, encryption, and data protection.
- Project Management: Ability to plan, execute, and oversee complex IT projects, including network upgrades and software development initiatives.
