Alumni Interactions

IFMR GSB alumni engage with their alma mater at different levels. Three key engagement that establish a strong sense of bonding are:

  • The Alumni Chapter Meets
  • Alumni Lectures at Campus
  • Mentoring of Current Students

The Alumni Chapter (TAC) meets normally take place at different Indian cities during summer when current students visit these cities for summer internships. The students organize these events and alumni from all batches present in these cities are invited to participate and interact with other alumni, current students and a few faculty members. The quality of interactions in these meetings are high and many conversations lead to several follow-up engagements.

Every quarter alumni are invited to campus to share their experience, ideas, and guidance with the students. These alumni lectures are highly sought-after events in campus, as students find opportunities to learn about different organizational roles, work environments, expectations from organizations, career progression, and typical challenges at workplace.

Several alumni members take it up on themselves to mentor current students on a 1-on-1 basis to help students acquire additional skills and capabilities to take up specific responsibilities in industries. Alumni members also help in finding suitable opportunities for current students in their respective organizations.

Apart from the above, IFMR GSB also provides a platform to the alumni to interact among themselves and explore suitable opportunities to engage among themselves. IFMR GSB also engages its alumni in other corporate engagement activities.
