Dr. Srinath Raghavan is a Senior Fellow at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He is also a senior research fellow at the India Institute at King’s College, London. His recent books include “War and Peace in Modern India”, “A Strategic History of the Nehru Years”, and “1971: A Global History of the Creation of Bangladesh”. Before coming to CPR, Srinath was a lecturer in Defence Studies at King’s College, London. He also took his M.A. and Ph.D. in war studies from King’s College, London. Prior to his academic career, he spent six years as an infantry officer in the Indian Army.
