Aikyatha : The Social Outreach Club \n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The Social Outreach Club, Aikyatha, aims to create a unified platform to facilitate all sorts of social initiatives. From looking outward and helping those in our surroundings, to looking inward and working on our campus and ourselves, the Club encompasses all attempts at making a positive difference and aims to direct our instinct to help others into smaller, tangible initiatives that can create change for the better. A fundamental aspect of the Social Outreach Club is that it would like to keep the opportunity of social service open to everyone interested in it. Therefore, there is no fixed role the club members have to fulfill. The purpose of this club is to give back, in whatever way and shape possible, and hence it is against the nature of this club to be discriminatory or rigid in its requirements. Most activities conducted by the Social Outreach Club are open to the entire student body but preference is given to the members of the club if there is a shortage of seats available.<\/span><\/p>

Two recent initiatives by Aikyatha include the Boystown Initiative and a visit to the orphanage ‘Raise a Child.’ The Boystown Initiative has occurred thrice and aims to teach English to boys in Gummidipundi. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Madras and supported by Maya Ma’am as the Point of Contact (POC), this program focuses on enhancing the boys’ reading skills and English proficiency. Additionally, during the Christmas season, the Krea community has been raising funds for the orphanage ‘Raise a Child’ in Sullurpet to meet their immediate needs. We are proud to report that the funds raised during the second round were double the amount raised in the first round. Besides raising funds, the Krea community made personalised cards for the children and visited them during Christmas to spend time with them and celebrate.<\/span><\/p>

Our vision is to inspire and empower individuals within and beyond our campus to make a meaningful impact on society. By fostering a culture of empathy, inclusivity, and proactive engagement, we strive to build a community where everyone feels motivated to contribute to social change. Together, we can transform small acts of kindness into powerful movements that drive lasting improvements in the lives of those we touch.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
