About the Undergraduate Programme

The School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences (SIAS), Krea University’s distinctive Undergraduate Programme, aims to enable students to become agile, ethical and purposeful leaders in this fast-changing world. The uniquely designed UG programme offers a range of majors, minors and electives, all housed under the Divisions of Sciences, Literature & the Arts, and Humanities & Social Sciences. Exposed to multiple disciplines and a variety of courses in the first year, students learn to identify their interests and pick their major for the second-year. The programme is also designed to create porous boundaries between the real-world and the classroom world through various summer internships, projects and opportunities to study abroad.

SIAS currently offers 3-year B.A. (Honours) & B.Sc. (Honours) degrees, with an option to do an additional year i.e. fourth year of Advanced Studies.

  1. Applicant should be less than 21 years of age
  2. Should be in XII grade or equivalent to XII grade in their country
  3. Applicant from any board of education (State Board, CBSE, ICSE, Cambridge International A levels and other International Examination boards) may apply
  4. Students in both IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma and IB Course can apply provided they have secured a minimum of 24 credits and passed at least 3 subjects at High Level and 3 subjects at Standard Level.
  5. Applicants are encouraged to share their SAT or ACT scores and other standardised test scores.

After completion of Stage 2, you will receive the final decision on your application.

Based on the information provided by the applicant and the evaluation scores awarded across the two stages of selection, the applicant may receive the following decisions:

Confirmed offer of admission: Where the candidate’s primary indicator of merit is either their XIIth Board exam results or their SAT/ACT exam results.

Conditional offer of admission: An offer made to the candidate based on their projected XIIth Board exam results

Denial of admission: Applicant may be denied admission at any stage of selection owing to their scores not meeting the selection benchmark.

Deferral for immersion or admission offer: Candidates may receive a deferral of decision at any stage of the admissions process.

Krea has a need-blind admissions process and a need-aware financial assistance process that endeavours to support the financial need of a student who wishes to pursue his/her educational aspirations at our University.

The Financial Assistance form portal can be accessed once the candidate has completed Stage 1 and is shortlisted for Immersion Day. On the day of Krea Immersive Case, the candidate is expected to keep all the necessary documents (original & photocopies) ready to upload along with the Financial Assistance application form.

The fee payment includes:
  • Application Fee - One-time payment of INR 500, non-refundable
  • Tuition fee - INR 7,10,000 per annum (subject to revision every year)
  • Living expenses* - INR 1,60,000 per annum (subject to revision every year)
  • Admissions fee at the time of acceptance - INR 35,000
  • One-time refundable deposit - INR 25,000 (payable in instalment 2 of trimester 1)

FAQ

No, students don’t have to declare their major at the time of admission. They will elect their major during the second year after taking a core of arts and science courses.
Krea does not have its own admissions entrance exam for this year. However, as a part of the stage 2 (Krea Immersive Case Day) of our admissions process, a quantitative reasoning test is conducted. We also encourage students to submit SAT and ACT scores if they have taken the test, albeit it is not mandatory. No, students may only apply in one round. Any duplication of application across rounds will result in its disqualification.
Letters of recommendation are an optional aspect and not mandated to be provided by the student during application. However, the Office of Admissions may reach out to select candidates for recommendations in case certain aspects of their application may require additional support.

Krea aims to attract high potential students to come, learn, contribute and benefit from this wonderful educational experience, regardless of their ability to pay. We follow a need-blind admissions process and a need-aware financial assistance process that endeavours to support the financial need of a student who wishes to pursue his/her educational aspirations in the University. Assistance provided will depend on multiple assessment parameters, including the income status of the parents / legal guardian.
Students become eligible to apply for financial assistance via an online financial assistance application form once they have been shortlisted for Stage 2 of the admissions process (KIC Day). Students will receive communication regarding this on their registered email addresses.
