Dr Kashyapi Ghosh

Dr Kashyapi Ghosh is an Assistant Professor in the Communications Area at IFMR GSB, Krea University. She worked as an Institute Postdoctoral Fellow at IIT Palakkad from June 2024 to April 2026, where she researched gender and television advertisements. Prior to this, she worked as an Assistant Professor at Vellore Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh (VIT-AP), where she taught communication to undergraduate engineering students.
She completed her PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati and holds a Master of Arts (MA) in English Literature from Banaras Hindu University. For her doctoral thesis, she analysed the changing dynamics of the kitchen space through media texts in contemporary India. In addition to gender, her research interests include food studies and cultural studies.
She has published her work in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal for International Women’s Studies and Gastronomica, and has presented her research at international conferences, including the Oxford Symposium on Food and Cookery and the American Comparative Literature Association (ACLA).
Besides teaching, she enjoys playing table tennis, going on nature hikes and attending classical music concerts.
Research
She is interested in cultural studies and food studies. She is currently exploring the field of digital food humanities and communication.
