About

Charudatta Navare is a Science Education researcher. He holds a PhD from the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. His PhD work focused on the hidden social values in undergraduate biology textbooks.

Charudatta is broadly interested in Feminist Science Studies, Science, Technology, and Society (STS) studies, and Science Education research. His research has been published in Science & Education, Cultural Studies of Science Education, and Metascience. His writing has also appeared in Aeon magazine. His non-fiction comic book ‘A Germ of an Idea: Microbes, Us, and the Microbes Within Us’, published by Eklavya, featured in Parag Honour List (2022).

Before joining Krea University, he was a Visiting Fellow at IISER Mohali.
