Nachiket Joshi is a literary translator, scholar, and educator based in India. He completed his doctorate from the Institut National des Langues et Civilsations Orientales (INALCO) in Paris in December 2022. His doctoral research examined contemporary Indian poetry in Marathi, Hindi, and English, with a focus on questions of gender, violence, and embodiment. He translates poetry, literary criticism, fiction, and non-fiction between Marathi, English, and French. In October 2025, he was selected for the UK-based National Centre for Writing’s Emerging Translator Mentorship programme in the Languages of India category. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Moturi Satyanarayana Centre for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences at Krea University.
