Ramya Vijayan is a Senior Education Leader with over 24 years of international experience across India, UAE, Oman, Singapore, and Malaysia. Her career spans institutional strategy, operations, student lifecycle management, governance, compliance, stakeholder engagement, and organisational growth within leading education organisations, including Wellington College International, GEMS Education, and GlobeEducate.

She has led institution-building initiatives encompassing greenfield campus development, enrollment growth, operational transformation, accreditation, and strategic expansion in multicultural and high-growth environments. Ramya has worked closely with Boards of Governors, Founders, and Senior Leadership teams, contributing to governance, institutional effectiveness, compliance frameworks, policy implementation, and long-term strategic planning. She is recognised for building high-performing teams and aligning strategy, people, and processes to deliver sustainable organisational impact.

As a founding leader at Wellington College Pune, Ramya played a key role in establishing the school’s admissions, marketing, and community engagement functions, contributing significantly to its growth and positioning. She has also represented Wellington College India at international education forums, including the Festival of Education at Wellington College in the United Kingdom and Wellington College Bangkok in Thailand.

Ramya holds a PGDE from the University of Dundee, an IB Certificate in Leadership Practice, a Digital and Social Media Marketing Strategy certification from IIM Calcutta, Master’s in Marketing Management, Public Relations from PRSI, and is a University Rank Holder from the University of Madras.
