At the end of the first year of study, the CSO facilitates internship opportunities with some of India’s top organisations in the development and social impact sector.
Students who express keen interest in developing their research competency are offered an opportunity to work with a Krea faculty member on a range of ongoing high impact and interdisciplinary research projects.
Immersion opportunities with a range of organisations – from emerging to new age industries, through industry internships and externships (projects) are provided. Constant interactions with industry leaders are also part of the learning journey.
SIAS students get to access a world of opportunities with some of the best institutions who excel in particular practice areas.

In the final year students get ready for progression to a career of their choice, but the work starts right from the first year. The CSO team aims to equip these young minds with professional skills that can make them feel more confident and reassured while approaching a workplace environment. Beyond internships, externships and global summer programmes support, these include networking opportunities with industry leaders and alumni, resume workshops, career fairs, and more. They also conduct 1:1 sessions and provide focussed mentorship.

The team also puts together a higher education toolkit including advice on what higher education pathways are available for different disciplines, advice on scholarship applications, sample personal statements, and sample funding applications. Support includes workshops, town halls and sessions, one on one advising, with experts and higher education consultants as well as connecting with alumni from similar fields and experiences.
SIAS graduates receive hundreds of higher education offers each year. In the most recent academic year, students have obtained offers from top Ivy league and prestigious global universities, spread across the UK, USA, India, Denmark, Singapore and more.

Each student at Krea is at a different stage of professional readiness, and the CSO team supports each of them with curated services. They offer comprehensive support and assistance throughout the years, for both career as well as higher education progression, tailor made to the needs of individual learners.
My internship with Karta was an incredibly enriching experience. I had the opportunity to design Economics and History modules for Class 12 (CBSE)
which gave me valuable insight into curriculum development and content structuring. Alongside this, I taught prerequisite subjects — Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics—to first-year undergraduate Economics students from across India, which strengthened my teaching and communication skills. I also worked on data analysis projects, allowing me to apply my academic learning in a practical context. Overall, the experience not only deepened my subject knowledge but also helped me grow as an educator and researcher."
“Our experience of recruiting and working with Krea student interns has been very positive.
The interns contributed meaningfully to ongoing projects, demonstrated adaptability, and responded constructively to feedback. Their professionalism and commitment added value to our work, and the collaboration with them was smooth and productive. We also greatly appreciate the continued support from the Krea team in facilitating this engagement.”
“At Krea, I learnt about perspectives vastly different than mine.
I understood that perhaps there is some truth to a lot of opinions I may not be aware of - but I could find it only if I was willing enough to engage with people and question my own bias. As I turn this page, I’m excited to step into the next chapter at The Foundation for Economic Development as a Program Associate. A big thank you to CSO who helped us all through the placement season. I look forward to making the most of this opportunity.”
“Most of my time at Krea was spent in Literature, Arts and History classrooms, and even now in my postgraduate studies,
I keep returning to them. They were the building blocks that shaped the way I think about both theory and practice through academic writing, group projects and endless class discussions. I owe so much to the conversations I had with my peers and professors — they encouraged me to unapologetically bring my interests into the classroom, which eventually led me to write my capstone thesis on digital fan culture. While I worked on my Master's thesis, exploring fans as archivists of 'feels' and their practices as post critical reading, while also interning as a website developer and gallery assistant in Belgium —I all in all put my joint major to good use.”
“Krea gave me space to explore across Biology, Philosophy, and Literature — an interdisciplinary foundation that now shapes my scientific work.
I’m now headed to the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) for an Integrated PhD.”
