Arnav Goel’s research has followed one question since his first year: how development displaces communities. It started with a documentary on Chengam Bakam village, displaced by the Sricity SEZ, and has carried through to his current capstone on Ayodhya. In between, he has worked with the Office of Virat Kant in Punjab, SaveLIFE Foundation, the Centre for Policy Research, and the Centre for Social and Behaviour Change, each one trusting him with independent, source-backed research on issues from rural health and land law to road safety policy.
Arnav also has a business and governance side, having been part of the student council, helped rewrite the university student constitution, and won a business competition for a venture he helped build from the ground up. He is looking at roles in political offices, government and public affairs consulting, and political or social/ESG consulting for corporations, where research needs to turn into decisions a client or principal can actually act on.
