Overview

Moksha Munoth is an Economics undergraduate at Krea University with experience spanning economic research, editorial leadership, political research, and business development. Through internships and campus leadership roles, she has worked on data-driven research, policy analysis, team management, and project execution. She has also gained exposure to entrepreneurship and business strategy through her work with her early-stage venture, Praxiset.

Moksha is interested in exploring impact, business, and managerial consulting, particularly roles that involve solving problems through data, developing actionable strategies, and working with organisations to create meaningful, impact- and equity-based outcomes.

Internships

Year 1: ThePrint

Research & Data Analysis Intern

May–July 2024

  • Completed a two-month summer internship in the Editorial Department under TCA Sharad Raghavan, conducting economic research, data analysis and press coverage.
  • Authored 10+ published articles, interpreting RBI reports, budget documents and datasets to track inflation, FDI and fiscal trends.
  • Supported 2024 Lok Sabha election coverage through data verification and voter trend analysis.

Year 3: Foundation for Democratic Reforms

Research Intern

May–July 2026

Worked across public finance, health policy and technology research. Key projects included a decade-long analysis of revenue trends across Indian state budgets, an in-depth study of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in India for a policy recommendation to NITI Aayog, and research on the economics of AI, covering India’s infrastructure roadmap and chip market, energy constraints, job displacement and financial crisis debates.

Research Opportunities

  • Research Intern, Eeshna Gupta Office (December 2025–January 2026): Conducted economic research using indicators such as health, education, gender equity, employment and welfare to develop evidence-based public narratives for a municipal campaign in Greater Kailash, Delhi, under the AAP government.
  • Rural Women Autonomy Study, Sri City (January–April 2026): Surveyed and interviewed 60 married couples across two villages to examine whether formal employment translates to greater household autonomy for rural married women. Designed survey instruments, constructed composite autonomy indices and conducted spousal agreement analysis to assess intra-household decision-making.
  • Benchmarked findings against state-level NFHS data and assessed the applicability of Seema Jayachandran’s autonomy index in a South Indian context.
  • Leher, Editor-in-Chief (January–December 2025): Managed editorial strategy and data-driven analysis across 30 writers and 10 departments, publishing 250+ articles. Contributed to the Economics column, covering budget and policy themes.
  • Praxiset (August 2026–Present): Currently conducting a mixed-methods study of 500 students across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India, examining the use of AI in education and its outcomes.
  • ThePrint, New Delhi | Year 1: Completed a Research and Data Analysis internship.

Projects and Work

Rubaroo

Supported programmes on gender, sexuality, gender-based violence (GBV) and early marriage. Led social media campaigns and content creation, conducted interviews for case studies, and helped build school partnerships under the YLAC initiative.

PeriFerry

Programme Assistant

Supported communications and follow-ups for an ongoing training programme focused on creating equal employment opportunities for the transgender community. Created CVs, conducted one-on-one sessions with community members, managed social media accounts, organised job fairs, and supported other participant-focused initiatives.

Mobbera Foundation

Intern

June 2022–April 2023

Worked as a content writer for the organisation’s social media platforms and supported the organisation of events including Queer Carnivals, Pride Marches and the All India Queer Conference 2022. Contributed across communications, content generation, scriptwriting and basic fieldwork.

Organised events in collaboration with Rotary Club Hyderabad and various NGOs, including bicycle and sewing machine distribution drives across Telangana, cleanliness drives, and seminars on menstrual health and filmmaking.

Round Square

Hosted Round Square events for schools across the globe and trained juniors to take on similar roles. Represented India in a research project examining teacher-student relationships across countries under the school’s Round Square membership. Also held leadership positions including House Captain, Debate Captain and Prefect.
