About the Talk

The ‘Theorizing Feminism‘ series was published in 2002. V Geetha’s volume on Gender soon became one of the most widely read and taught pieces in universities. Fourteen years later, we now ask : is it still relevant? In this conversation, V Geetha reflects on the making of such educational material, the persistence of, and the changes in, the gendered discourse today.
About the speaker
V Geetha is a feminist historian, writer and translator, based in Chennai. She writes in English and Tamil on gender, caste, labour and education.

The talk is mandatory for students of Exploring the Social and the Historical.
