Job Title: Residence Manager (Male)
Reports to: Chief Administrative Officer, Krea University
Location: Full-time position based out of Krea University Campus in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh
Remuneration: As per institution standard
Working Hours: Night Shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM). Please note that while working hours are during night, the candidate will be expected to work flexibly given the nature of the role and emergency situations.

Role and Responsibilities:
Residence Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the residence halls, ensuring that facilities are well-maintained and conducive to student living.
- Address and resolve housing-related issues, including maintenance requests, room assignments, and accommodations.
- Track student movement inside and outside campus through the biometric system.
Student Support and Mentorship:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students regarding residence-related matters during night hours.
- Act as a mentor and advisor to students, providing guidance on personal, academic, and social issues.
- Facilitate conflict resolution between roommates and other students, ensuring a harmonious living environment.
Emergency Response and Medical Support:
- Handle night-time emergencies, including medical emergencies, coordinating with the University Health Centre and mental health services.
- Accompany students to the hospital during serious medical emergencies and manage the situation until the student is handed over to their parent or guardian.
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols, ensuring safety and security during the night shift.
Parent Liaison:
- Serve as the main point of contact for parents regarding their children’s residence experience and medical concerns.
- Communicate effectively with parents about any issues or concerns related to their child’s well-being.
Administrative Coordination:
- Liaise with Operations, Admissions, Safety, and Security to ensure seamless coordination and support for residence-related matters.
- Collaborate with campus safety and security teams to monitor student movement and ensure adherence to campus policies.
- Maintain and update student residence records, including room assignments and incident reports.
Health Centre Management:
- Oversee daily operations and staff duties in the Health Centre during the night shift.
- Manage the health centre inventory, budget, and billing system.
- Order medical stock and supplies for the Health Centre.
- Oversee purchasing, maintenance, and repair of health centre equipment.
- Monitor and evaluate health centre staff performance.
- Identify gaps in performance, organize, and facilitate training for the staff.
- Manage internal and external communications, including handling student and parent queries about the Health Centre.
- Accompany patients to the hospital during admissions and critical situations.
- Handle night emergency cases and oversee ambulance movement.
- Run point on patient hospitalization, handling the end-to-end facilitation from admission to discharge.
- Coordinate with the hospital, Third Party Administrator (TPA), and other stakeholders.
- Manage patient health insurance claims, liaising between hospitals and parents.
- Update parents on patient conditions and coordinate handing over of patients to their parents or guardians.
- Arrange transportation for patients and parents, if needed, between the hospital and campus.
- Handle admissions procedures at the hospital, coordinating with hospital doctors and campus health professionals.
- Facilitate student reintegration upon discharge, working with the OHC doctor.
- Maintain patient records.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Management, or any related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in student affairs, residence management, or healthcare administration in a higher education setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Experience in community building, program development, and medical support services.
- Knowledge of student development theory and residence life best practices.
- Proficiency in database management and administrative tasks.
