Job description: The Centre for Writing & Pedagogy, Krea University (Krea-CWP), is hiring visiting faculty to teach sections of the Writing and Oral Communication course at the University in the academic year 2025-26. This is a unique opportunity to be trained in interdisciplinary writing pedagogy in a one-of-a-kind programme and teach with a cohort of supportive and highly motivated teachers.
Responsibilities:
- Teach up to 4 courses a year and carry out any academic/administrative work assigned by the CWP Director during the contract period.
- Participate in all instructor training sessions: the week-long training before the beginning of the academic year as well as the weekly sessions during the term.
- Prepare syllabi and teach as per the CWP and Krea academic requirements.
- Evaluate student work as per the CWP grading rubric and submit grades on time.
- Upload all teaching material, graded student papers and grade-sheets to the CWP drive (in addition to submitting student work to the exam office).
- Work collaboratively with the CWP faculty members, Peer Tutors and Conversation Partners towards developing writing pedagogy and writing and communication support.
- Participate in Krea admissions panels and interview prospective students.
Training: There is an intensive one-week training period (the famous CWP-Bootcamp) before classes start. The bootcamp is followed by weekly meetings throughout the term where training and support continue.
Nature of Contract: Annual, renewable.
