Why pursue a PhD in at Krea

A PhD in Mathematics at Krea is unique – our faculty members have expertise in a diverse set of fields such as geometry, topology, algebra, representation theory, analysis of partial differential equations. We prepare our PhD students by offering them a comprehensive coursework that includes, besides mathematics, important knowledge and skills like ethics, statistics, reading and writing research articles.

The research environment at Krea is lively with weekly mathematics seminars by visiting mathematicians. The faculty members engage in and encourage discussion on all matters mathematical. The wider culture at Krea is very vibrant with a lot of interdisciplinary engagement. The PhD students as teaching assistants gain a closer at teaching, preparing them for a career in research and teaching. The university also offers the students a generous travel allowance for travel to national and international conferences.
