A book review by Dr Preeti Sampat, Associate Professor, Sociology and Social Anthropology, SIAS, of Properties of Rent: Community, Capital and Politics in Globalizing Delhi by Sushmita Pati was published in South Asia Multidisciplinary Academic Journal (SAMAJ).
Dr Sampat also delivered a lecture titled ‘Land-Rent-Urbanization’ for the inaugural Summer School programme of the Institute for Research on Andhra Pradesh (IRAP), held from 31 July to 2 August 2026. The Summer School brought together PhD scholars, early career academics, and committed development practitioners engaged with questions of development, inequality, and social transformation in Andhra Pradesh.
