Dr Chirag Dhara, Associate Professor, Environmental Studies, SIAS, was a co-panelist, with Dr Aditi Deshpande, Pune University at an event organised by the ‘National Alliance for Climate and Ecological Justice’ on 31 July 2026.
The topic was ‘Super El Nino and Climate change : Is Global Heating making El Niños stronger and more impactful?’ In which we spoke about the mechanisms linking the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Monsoon, and the implications for India of the developing ’Super El Niño’.
