Dr Venkatanagarajan, Assistant Professor, OB & HR, IFMR GSB has authored a paper titled Relational Pathways to Leader PsyCap: The Role of Follower Attachment and Leader Power Distance in a High Power Distance Culture, published in International Journal of Cross Cultural Management (B-category journal in the ABDC Journal Quality List).
The study examines how followers’ psychological capital may influence leaders’ psychological capital in India’s high power distance context. Using multi-source supervisor-subordinate data, it shows that follower PsyCap relates to lower leader-specific attachment insecurity and that leaders’ power distance orientation shapes the strength of upward PsyCap contagion in hierarchical workplace settings.
