The Postgraduate Diploma in Media, Language and Digital Cultures is an interdisciplinary programme designed to develop a critical understanding of the intersections between communication, culture and creative expression in an age of digital connectivity.
Moving beyond the conventional boundaries of journalism, the programme brings together critical inquiry and creative practice across contemporary media landscapes. It equips students to navigate fluidly between language, storytelling and emerging media technologies, while developing an informed understanding of how media shapes culture, public discourse and everyday life.
The programme critically examines contemporary media ecosystems through the lenses of media theory, as well as evolving legal and ethical frameworks.
Alongside this intellectual foundation, students develop practical competencies in journalism, digital storytelling and content creation.
The result is a programme that combines intellectual depth with creative practice and professional adaptability—preparing graduates to engage thoughtfully and effectively with the rapidly evolving worlds of media, language and communication.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Media, Language and Digital Cultures is a one-year programme, conducted in three terms and combines seminars, workshops, culminating in a dissertation project. Students may also specialise in a particular area – environment, science, or literature and they may take relevant courses from the SIAS catalogue.

| Dissertation | Researched essay of 5,000 to 8,000 words that is a deep dive on a subject. |

In order to complete the graduate requirements, students must earn a minimum of 40 credits: 16 credits from required courses, 16 from electives and 8 from a mandatory dissertation.

The PG diploma is a one-year programme, conducted in three terms.

The selection process includes an entrance exam and interview.
No. Krea University conducts its own admissions process for the programme, and no external entrance examinations are required or considered.
The applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The first cycle begins on 1 October 2026 and runs up until 31 January 2027. The second cycle begins 1 February 2026 and concludes on 30 April 2026.
The programme commences in July 2027.
There is no mandatory internship as part of the programme, placement services will be offered.
Rs 7.5 lakhs with additional living expenses.
