Dr Krishna Kumar Balaraman publishes a chapter in Scopus Indexed Book Series Sustainable Development Goals Series

Dr Krishna Kumar Balaraman, Associate Professor, Strategic Management, IFMR GSB has co-authored a case/chapter in  Context-inspired Entrepreneurship: Cases from India, published under the Scopus Indexed Book Series Sustainable Development Goals Series (ISSN: 2523-3084) by Palgrave Macmillan/Springer Nature.

The case Fee Plaza LLP (Part A and Part B) discusses the origin, operations, strengths and growth challenges of Fee Plaza LLP, a FinTech start-up based in Bangalore, India. Fee Plaza is bootstrapped (self-funded by the founders) and this case discusses the dilemma faced by the founder of Fee Plaza in scaling up the business, and the choices and consequences based on his orientation as an entrepreneur in an emerging economy—India. The latter part of the Fee Plaza case is about the growth options, dilemmas and efforts of Fee Plaza LLP. It explains the platform extensions, alliances and further challenges that the founder and collaborator faced in structuring technology alliances and being equitable in doing so. The case highlights challenges in internationalising the platform for launching in the USA with a subscription model.
