Outlook for the Banking sector in the post COVID era

“You will be entering a corporate world where the only thing that is predictable is rapid change.” In an insightful interaction with the students of IFMR GSB, Paul Abraham, President – Hinduja Foundation and Former COO – IndusInd Bank shared reflections intertwining both personal and professional life journey, and imparted lessons in re-engaging with and celebrating various facets of life. He spoke about how the changes in banking sectors have always required a sense of alertness and response and the unprecedented changes brought in by COVID-19 will exhibit fundamental changes on how we work, face challenges and view disruptions in the market.

Paul spoke about how banks would need to look at managing vulnerable segments to face changes once the moratorium phase ends.  He encouraged students to deal with life challenges, by investing in oneself and through one’s extended support system. He pegged pharma, education, health, finance and services like digital supply chains to be sectors of interest in the startup world.
