Philosophical training sharpens our critical thinking ability, power of imagination, and our capacity for innovation. Learning the process of conducting meta-inquiry along with a concrete engagement with real-world issues makes philosophy students reflective and innovative learners. The Philosophy Minor programme at Krea University is committed to exploring specific philosophical traditions and their practices. Tracing the historical trajectories of the development of philosophical ideas is a cornerstone of this Minor programme. It will signpost philosophical thinking both as a scholarship-based discipline and as a practice-based discipline. Most of the pressing questions of the 21st Century including questions of social categories, technology & progress, human condition & its ethical quandaries, and the future of ‘us’, demand a renewed attention from the discipline of philosophy. Keeping this in mind, Philosophy programme at Krea will incorporate theorisation, practices, immersion and application as its pedagogical pillars. Students of Philosophy Minor will not just be potential scholars in the disciplines of philosophy, but more importantly, be philosophically motivated learners and problem solvers.
