Professor Debdulal Thakur is a socio-economist by training and a detail-oriented team player with 20 years of experience in successfully handling government, corporate and civil society assignments. He currently teaches Economics and Public Policy at Vinayaka Mission’s Law School in Chennai. Over the past 20 years, he has extensively worked on and led funded projects in the areas of education, fiscal policy, budgets, and urban finance at premier institutes such as NIPFP, CBGA, BITS Pilani, Symbiosis, and LEAD at Krea University in various capacities.
He has co-authored several project-based reports funded by organisations such as the World Bank, UNDP, UNICEF, ADB, and DFID, related to budgets, public expenditure, and especially on strengthening the fiscal and governance position of the urban local bodies in India.
