About the Talk:
Owing to the several incidents of failures, incidents and discrimination and hallucinations of AI systems, governments across the globe have come together to form a set of guidelines and best practices in order to ensure safe secure fair and transparent implementations of AI. This area broadly termed as Responsible AI is crucial for future AI success. We will present the various dimensions of responsible AI and elucidate the practical aspects of achieving responsible AI.

About the Speaker:
Dr Srinivas Padmanabhuni is an eminent engineer and awardee of the Institution of Engineers. He is the co-founder and CTO of AIEnsured, a responsible AI startup. Prior to this, Srinivas Padmanabhuni co-founded CityMandi.com, a next-generation AI-enabled B2B startup in Agri Tech focused on the farm-to-fork supply chain. He has served as the past president of ACM India, the leading professional organization for computing professionals. Dr Padmanabhuni specializes in software engineering, AI, and machine learning. Previously, he was a Principal Research Scientist and Associate Vice President at Infosys, where he managed the university innovation ecosystem alongside the research and innovation group in Infosys Labs. He has received several awards, including the Excellence Award for Innovation at Infosys, the Research Excellence Award at the University of Alberta, and the Merit Award at IIT Kanpur. He holds a PhD in AI from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, and a BTech from IIT Kanpur and an MTech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay. His interests include AI, machine learning, software engineering, and cybersecurity.
