Shraddha Rajmohan

Overview

Shraddha Rajmohan is pursuing Environmental Studies as her major in Krea University and she has shown her expertise in the discipline through various internships which involved thorough research as well as practical fieldwork. She has a keen interest in sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles.

Shraddha’s academic journey has led to a deeper understanding of societal issues along with environmental ones, as she has taken courses in social studies, history, politics and global arts. While maintaining a strong academic record, Shraddha has also been active in extracurricular activities such as the dance club, social outreach club and music club in Krea University. Her passion for making a positive impact in people’s lives can be seen through her involvement in the Boystown program, where she developed a curriculum and taught English reading and writing to underprivileged students at the Rotary school in Gummidipoondi, Tamil Nadu. With diverse experiences and skills, Shraddha is poised to foster positive change in the field of environmental studies and beyond.

• Conducted in-depth interviews with visitors at Ulsoor Lake in Bangalore to understand their opinions on the importance of the lake, especially in this era of climate change
• Conducted non-participant observation using the Arc-GIS app to understand ways in which various human and non-human entities interact with the lake
• Analysed secondary research on Ulsoor Lake and other water bodies in urban settings across the world

• Completed a research project on laws around untreated waste disposal in India and how they may be improved
• Completed second project on how we can make villages in India carbon neutral
