Ria V
Ria is a third-year student pursuing a Literature major with a Psychology minor. She's looking to leverage her experience in marketing, content creation writing and volunteering to craft holistic packages that can seek feedback, iterate development and effectively communicate.
She had the opportunity to work with the Centre for Writing and Pedagogy at Krea University for two trimesters as a Peer Tutor where she tutored peers in the Written and Oral Communication course which focuses on writing academic essays, research papers, and formal communication. She also received training from CWP Krea, for the same and it proved to be a truly engaging learning experience.
Additionally, she was a summer research intern for two consecutive years at the LILA Foundation for Translocal Initiatives where she did both primary and secondary research for a project on Gen-Z and their mental health, helped collate a year's worth of data and worked as part of the ideating team to discuss possible end products.
While at Krea, she also found the opportunity to be an Associate Intern at Barefoot Edu Foundation where she got to engage with the background work of creating lesson plans, aiding in resource collection and documentation of education toolkits, as well as being a part of a team organising a nation-wide competition.
Prior to her journey at Krea, she worked in the content writing and public relations department of Retrato Media Group Ventures, where she worked firsthand with clientele ranging from fine-dining restaurants to salons while managing and curating their websites and social media. As part of this, she had the opportunity to write the script and assist in the direction of a music video, ""Neelopalam.""
Writing has been integral to most of her work and life. She published my first work in 2021. ""Essence is a collection of poetry and short prose unravelling the complexities of a teenage mind's thoughts and emotions. The work was recognised, and she had the opportunity to have a post-publication event with the esteemed Shashi Tharoor.
Writing, research and academia are focus-points that she finds herself drawn to. She is eager to learn further from experiences and conversations through determination, willingness and patience.
