Mahika Wadhwa
Mahika Wadhwa is pursuing an Environmental Studies major at Krea University. She has previously interned at Raah Foundation and Radiance Renewables. While she's still experimenting and trying to figure out her areas of interest, as of now she would want to work in the fields of agrarian crisis, sustainability, environmental writing and policy making as future career paths.
She would love to engage with the community around her and she's deeply interested in working in an NGO or organisation that is involved in on-ground operations such as interactions with farmers, members of marginalised communities, etc. She enjoyed working in the ESG department in her last internship and would not mind doing something related to those lines as well.

● Helped Raah Foundation start one of their first skill-building projects in Mumbai. The project aimed at finding youth who were educated but did not possess the skills to use it in the real world. The team wanted to start a program that would teach these kids basic computer, math and English skills and then provide them with internship opportunities. Helped look for potential NGO’s as well as prospective spaces
Radiance Renewables
2 May to 20 June 2024
● Worked in the ESG (Environmental Social Governance) department for 6 weeks
● Closely associated with all the activities of this department. Attended team meetings and understood the workings of the top management and how they deal with crisis
● Conducted real-time research and helped create an excel model for the company that calculated the carbon emissions of all their employees by means of commute to and from work. This sheet served as the framework for future calculations as well
● Accompanied the team on a field visit to one of their solar parks in Satara and learned more about on-ground operations
● The flagship CSR initiative of the company- “Dhrishta” is a project that aims at teaching women basic skills such as sewing, while also providing education to youth with the long-term objective of making them financially independent and helping them secure jobs. Visited one of these villages and interacted with the women there. Involved in making reports, excel sheets and PPTs as

● Brainstormed ideas and organise office games for World Environment Day
