Jaykumar Patel and Utkarsh Srivastava (IFMR Graduate School of Business, MBA class of 2021) are proud recipients of Krea’s 100% scholarship to NYU Stern School of Business’ Fintech program. 

Krea University offered a 100% scholarship to final-year MBA students to pursue ‘Foundations in Fintech’ – a short-term online program at NYU Stern School of Business. Several students vying for this scholarship underwent a rigorous application and interview process, with Jaykumar and Utkarsh emerging as the top two candidates. 

The online course, with a duration of 6-weeks (25 January – 08 March 2021), will deep-dive into the functioning of the financial services industry taught by Professor Kathleen DeRose (Clinical Associate Professor of Finance and Director of NYU Stern Fubon Center FinTech Initiative). Through various video lectures, readings and assessments, this program aims to provide valuable insights about key Fintech areas and prepare students for a career in finance. Participants of this course, upon completion, will receive the NYU Stern Certificate in Fintech.

Talerang has conducted innumerable career development and training programs, impacting 2 million students in the last five years. The Krea-Talerang partnership is designed in such a way that it benefits students who wish to study further as well as students who are interested in joining the workforce or exploring entrepreneurship after completing their undergraduate programme at Krea.

Prajanya Trust features Dr Anannya Dasgupta’s poems on human rights

As part of the Prajanya Trust’s ‘16 Days Campaign against Gender Violence’, poems by Dr Anannya Dasgupta – Associate Professor of Literature, Literature & the Arts and Director of Centre for Writing & Pedagogy at SIAS, Krea University – were featured on the occasion of Human Rights Day. The campaign aims to showcase women poets read poems from their work that draw on or speak broadly to the “four good words” in the preamble to the constitution: Justice, Equality, Liberty and Fraternity. Catalyst AIC now has a full-functional, state-of-the-art incubation infrastructure in Jaipur, spreading across 11,000 sq.ft. The space has been designed keeping in mind the kind of vibrant and bustling environment that technology entrepreneurs need, backed by high-end facilities for the team as well as the incubated startup teams. ‘The Economics of Small Things’ authored by Dr Sudipta Sarangi was e-launched recently, followed by a detailed discussion about the book and a fun Q/A session hosted by Krea University. In conversation with Dr Sunder Ramaswamy (Vice-Chancellor, Krea University) and Dr Madhuri Saripalle (Associate Professor of Economics at IFMR GSB, Krea University), Dr Sarangi shared his writing experience, elaborated on why he chose pop-culture and examples with an Indian context to present some deep concepts, in addition to explaining his fascination for human behaviour and its relationship with Economics.
