Admission Criteria
Date of birth of the applicants should be January 1, 2006 or later
Applicants must have studied in the English Medium, obtained at least 60% marks [overall] both in Class X and Class XII with at least 60% in Mathematics in Class X; this could be from the Boards – IB, IGCSE, ICSE, CBSE or State Boards, but not from NIOS or any other Open Education/Distance Learning/Online education boards
A student who has not been assessed by any of the above listed Boards in Class X, and is directly pursuing IB as a four-year programme after middle school will not be eligible, to apply for 2025 admission, unless such student has already completed IB in 2024 or earlier. Such a student must have qualified in IB with grade of at least 4 in Math
In Class X, regardless of the board, the student’s marks will be considered from Math, English and three other non-overlapping subjects. (One of the could be a language other than English). If the student has written more than three subjects we will use the best three, along with Math and English to check for eligibility based on 60% criterion
In Class XII, the student’s marks will be considered in three subjects (Math is not required, but it can be one of the three) apart from English or any other Language. English / Language marks are not included while checking for eligibility based on 60% criterion
Students who have not qualified in Math with 60% in class X in any of the above boards can qualify based on SAT score of at least 600 in Math
Yes, anyone who completed class XII in 2024 is also eligible to apply to our program.

IFMR GSB will admit up to 60 students for the batch of IMBA 2025-30. However, the School is under no compulsion to fill all 60 seats. Offers will be made to deserving high-quality applicants.
No, students may only apply in one round of the current Admissions cycle. Any duplication of application across rounds will result in its disqualification.

If you apply in the early round, you will know whether you are admitted before you write your board exams. This is recommended if we are your first choice.
The regular round takes place after the board exams and is highly competitive.
The express round is purely for IPMAT 2025 students who perhaps did not consider us, till they encountered us in the context of IPMAT. Though the express round is very fast, only a few seats are filled in this round.
Also, in the express round, applicants upon selection get hardly a week time to join the program.
Academic scores for standard IX, X, XI and XII need to be submitted.
We have a uniquely curated program with sequence of courses that involve prerequisites. Therefore, students from other Universities with a different curriculum would not be able to meet our requirements.
So we do not have a provision for lateral entry and/or transfer of credits.

The SAQS accreditation is awarded by The Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA), an international not-for-profit association, and is a “SAARC Recognized Body”. We are working with AMDISA for SAQS re-accreditation. It is an on-going process.
Krea University comprises two schools, namely IFMR Graduate School of Business (IFMR GSB) and School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences (SIAS). IFMR GSB offers Integrated MBA, MBA, EMBA and customised programmes for executives. SIAS currently offers BA (Hons) and BSc (Hons) degrees in disciplines across Arts, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences.
The student to faculty ratio of the MBA Programme is 8:1
Academics
During the third students choose their concentration [one of the following four] and the courses are based on the same.
During the fifth year, students choose electives from the following Areas – Communications, Data Science & Information Systems, Economics, Finance & Accounting, Quantitative Finance, Marketing, OB & HR, Operations, and Strategic Management.
Students need to achieve a CGPA of 7.5 on a 10-point scale and undergo an interview to be selected for the MBA.
Students who have a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale can apply as external candidates by writing the CAT exam.
Students who are not selected to MBA in either of these two channels will be awarded only bachelors degree in business administration subject to meeting the UGC requirements for the same.
No, students don’t have to declare their concentration. They decide their third-year concentration in the last trimester of the second year.
Similarly, students choose electives in their fifth year [i.e. second year of MBA]
Fee and Scholarships
For the first three years, the fees is Rupees Fifteen Lakh [15,00,000] – paid over nine instalments – though the first one is higher than the rest. The remaining eight instalments are Rupees One Lakh Sixty Thousand [Rs 160,000] only.
The tuition fee for MBA batch 2025-27 is INR 15,20,000 [typically this is revised every year and expected to go up by the time these students reach their fourth year].

No. Our Integrated MBA is nascent program and of very limited size. We do not provide scholarships.
Infrastructure and Facilities
The world-class campus on 40 acres of land has air-conditioned classrooms, Wi-fi coverage, ATM, along with a health centre. The other facilities include, air-conditioned hostel rooms, laundromat, convenience store, fitness studio, student lounge, student hub with indoor games, snack vending machine, unisex salon, basketball court, futsal grass turf and cricket nets.
IFMR GSB Sri City campus is an academic Centre of Excellence in the midst of global organisations setting up world-class manufacturing plants in Sri City to cater to the Indian and export markets. These include Alstom, Kobelco, Danieli, Colgate, Cadbury, PepsiCo, Kellogg’s Isuzu Motors, and a large number of Japanese, American and European corporations.
A 1650 sq ft fitness studio for boys and girls and indoor games [such as table tennis] are available. Facilities are provided for yoga, playing cricket, football, volleyball and more, to help students unwind and relax after assignments and lectures. An open-air auditorium and other recreational facilities have also been set up.
A beautiful water body, a walkway and enough greenery makes the campus aesthetically and physically soothing. The entire campus is Wifi enabled. Complete security and safety are built-in as basic requirements. There are plans being implemented to make the campus not only a higher education institution, but also a vibrant ecosystem.
IFMR has state-of-the-art facilities for students and faculty in a Wifi enabled campus with high bandwidth connectivity. A world-class campus spread over 40 acres of land, offers the students an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a Multimedia enabled air conditioned classrooms equipped with labs for simulated and real trading on NSE, with live feeds. In addition to this, the HT Parekh Library in the campus facilitates electronic journal access, apart from books and multimedia and is proudly recognised as a World Bank repository.
Other facilities include ATM, launderettes, hostel rooms on twin-sharing basis with attached bath & geyser, dedicated TV rooms, mess, QSR and Indian fast food outlet, and a store for stationery items, soft drinks, packed snacks and personal care products.
Student life on campus
Abhyudaya is the flagship event of IFMR GSB which is hosted every year in the month of February, at Sri City campus. Abhyudaya is a management and cultural conclave that features a potpourri of events and competitions that incorporate elements of various fields of management.
We are strongly committed to creating a safe and secure campus for our students. The campus is enclosed by well-lit perimeter fencing topped with barbed wire and all access gates including pathways have 24×7 security staff. There are CCTV cameras with recording systems installed at critical areas around campus for the safety of students. All external personnel and visitors are issued ID cards and all vehicles are checked during entry and exit. In addition, all campus fire and security measures are overseen by retired senior personnel from the Police and Armed Forces. The security team at Krea also works proactively with the local police establishment to provide a safe environment for students within the larger vicinity of the campus.
