I started my career with Deloitte Haskins & Sells, one of the largest accounting firms in the world. From Hyundai to Microsoft, the varied clients I audited gave me the insight and knowledge much needed to jump start my career.
It was during this period I developed a passion for sharing my knowledge and joined an institute which trains CA students. I started teaching mathematics and accounting to CA students.
After training myself adequately at Deloitte I joined The World Bank and worked in the financial reporting and analysis wing. Even during this phase, regardless of the pressures, I continued teaching CA students. I felt my passion grow towards teaching much more.
Post a 3 year stint at The World Bank, I decided to start my own practice as a Chartered Accountant. This gave me the flexibility to follow my career as a CA as well as follow my passion as a knowledge sharer which ultimately led me to complete my PhD at IFMR. My areas of research interests are financial reporting, sustainability reporting, corporate governance and CSR. My teaching interests include financial accounting, corporate finance, corporate Governance, forensic accounting and sustainability reporting.
