Chairperson – MBA Admissions
Amit taught in the undergraduate, MBA, PhD and executive programmes and conducted research in information systems at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, from 1994 to 2009. His teaching and research spanned the technology (database, networks, and information security) and behavioural (decision-making, technology evolution and e-Government) domains. For the next ten years, he worked at Qatar University, teaching at all levels (bachelors, masters and doctoral) and continuing his research in management and information systems. Amit has a B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, and a post-graduate diploma in Management (PGDM) from IIM Calcutta. After working with Tata Motors in market research for three years, he earned his PhD in Information & Decision Sciences from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, in 1994. Amit has collaborated with businesses (such as Apple, Asatsu-DK, Cray Research, Google, HP, IBM, Oracle and Qatar Petroleum) and public sector organizations (such as APEC, IDA Singapore and People’s Association) on a variety of research and consulting projects. His papers have been published in reputed journals such as Management Science, Strategic Management Journal, International Small Business Journal, Journal of Behavioral Finance, and Information & Management. He is a regular participant at international conferences on management and information systems.
Dr. Ankit Singhal is an Assistant Professor in the area of Finance & Accounting at IFMR Graduate School of Business, KREA University. His teaching and research interests lies in the area of Corporate Finance specifically Mergers, Acquisitions & Restructurings, Family Firms, Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Emerging Markets.
Dr. Ankit Singhal has presented his research at various national and international conferences including Allied Social Science Association (ASSA) meetings, International Young Finance Scholar’s Conference (IYFSC), World Finance Conference, Emerging Market Finance (EMF), Capital Markets Conference, PAN IIM World Management Conference etc.
Dr. Ankit Singhal holds a PhD in Empirical Corporate Finance from School of Management & Entrepreneurship, Shiv Nadar University, MBA in Banking & Finance from Panjab University, M.Sc. in Mathematics from MDU, Rohtak and B.A. (Hons.) Mathematics from Ramjas College, Delhi University.
Dr. Ankur Paliwal holds a PhD in corporate finance from the School of Management & Entrepreneurship, Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, an MBA from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, and a bachelor’s in Commerce from Commerce College. His research interests are in the area of Corporate Governance, Capital Markets and Corporate Finance.
He has presented his research at major global conferences such as the World Finance & Banking Symposium, World Finance Conference, India Finance Conference, International Conference on Financial Markets and Corporate Finance, Pan-IIM Conference, and Management Doctoral Colloquium.
Former Dean of IFMR, Prof G Balasubramanian has more than three decades of experience in executive training, teaching, consulting and research in Accounting, Finance and Information Technology.
He has trained more than 1000 executives across multiple organization covering both private and public sector. Some of his most sought after courses are Finance for Managers and Financial Modeling.
Currently a visiting faculty to several African countries in Finance and Information Technology, under the sponsorship of the Commonwealth Secretariat, Prof G Balasubramanian has also engaged with Indian Institute of Management, Indore, IIM Trichy, Great Lakes Institute of Management and LIBA. An approved PhD guide at Madras University, Prof G Balasubramanian is also a member of the doctoral committee at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
He has designed and implemented Decision Support Systems for major organizations, and published papers on capital markets, accounting, information technology, and knowledge management. A resource person in a study of disinvestments of public sector enterprises sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Prof G Balasubramanian has also co-authored a book titled “Brain Re-engineering”, published by Sage Publications.
He serves as the Managing Editor of “Journal of Emerging Market Finance”, IFMR GSB’s Journal, published by Sage Publications.
Professor, Operations Management
Area Chair – Operations Management
An alumnus of IFMR, Chennai, Chandrasekaran has a PhD in Economics and Financial Management from University of Madras. He is also a certified Supply Chain Management Professional of APICS – American Association of Operations Management, USA. Chandrasekaran has been part of a leadership team setting up Centres of Excellence in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Backed by over twenty-five years of experience with corporates, Chandrasekaran has worked in Information Technology, Venture Capital, and Knowledge Processing sectors. Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, Human Resources, Leadership Development and Investor Relationship management are his areas of expertise. His consulting, research, corporate training and teaching experience extends across Supply Chain Management, Operations Strategy, Logistics Infrastructure and Management, Service Operations, Strategy and Analytics.
Chandrasekaran is also an independent director, mentor and management consultant with several leading companies and start-ups. He also serves as a research guide to scholars pursuing PhD degree in management in the area of Strategy and Supply Chain Management.
Gayathri Sampath, Ph.D. is a seasoned management professional with over 20 years of industry and academic experience. After her MBA from NMIMS (Mumbai), she worked for over 10 years with Deloitte India; Avalon Consulting providing consulting solutions to reputed Indian and global organisations. Her assignments included advising companies on Marketing and Business Strategy including Go-to market strategies, Opportunity Identification, Entry strategies and Evaluating Business Models and Plans. She then moved to head the Research and Consulting Practice at SmartAnalyst India, the Indian arm of SmartAnalyst Inc – a knowledge service provider to Fortune 10 companies. At SmartAnalyst, Gayathri put together a young team of researchers comprising fresh graduates and postgraduates who could provide analytical insights and custom research services to the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. Her experiences in working with her young team at SmartAnalyst led her to appreciate the importance of building a pool of trained talent who could be absorbed in the knowledge-based service industries, and she started V-Skill solutions with a colleague. V-Skill was among the top 50 businesses shortlisted for venture capital funding in the inaugural Economic Times Power of Ideas competition.
Her experiences in the corporate world fuelled a desire for greater understanding of the drivers of strategic thinking and prompted a switch to academics in 2011. She was awarded her PhD from NMIMS – School of Business (Mumbai) and joined them as full-time faculty in the Business; Strategy Department in 2015. At SBM she designed and delivered various courses relating to strategic management in the MBA and PhD program. Her portfolio of courses included Ethical issues in management, Dimensions of strategy implementation, Managing strategic alliances, International business management, Understanding business models and plans and Strategic management. Her electives were almost always fully subscribed, and she was consistently rated by students as one of the best faculty for strategy courses. She is trained in the Harvard case-based pedagogy and uses case and simulation-based pedagogy extensively in her courses.
Her research work has been in organisational strategic agility and digital payments. She has presented her research work in conferences and published papers in domestic and international journals. She has written two cases published with Ivey Publishing on a pan India running club (Striders) and a well-known social enterprise (Shrujan) which are used in various strategy courses. She is currently working on an international research project on women social entrepreneurs and two case studies on social entrepreneurship models. She is fascinated by the impact of mythology on management and is pursuing a course on comparative mythology. She hopes to connect mythology and managerial styles in her next research project.

Jayasankar Ramanathan is an Associate Professor of Marketing at IFMR GSB, Krea University. His research interests include Understanding Stock Market/Consumer Reactions to Marketing/Ethics Phenomena. His teaching interests include many subjects in Marketing such as Marketing Management, Brand Management, Marketing Research, and Marketing Ethics.
Jayasankar Ramanathan completed doctoral studies from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. Before joining the doctoral program, he was employed as a Programmer Analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions and was a member of the R&D team at Cognizant Academy. After completing the doctoral program, he was employed as a Visiting Assistant Professor and then as an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Management Indore and then as an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam.
Jayasankar Ramanathan also holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Rajasthan.
Associate Professor, Economics
Jyoti Prasad Mukhopadhyay holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics (University of Delhi) and a PhD in Economics from IFMR Graduate School of Business (formerly IFMR) and University of Madras. Prior to his PhD, Jyoti worked with Centre for Micro Finance (CMF) at IFMR as a Research Associate and also with The World Bank as a Short-term Consultant (STC) on an impact evaluation study in Chhattisgarh. Jyoti has participated and presented research papers in various academic conferences in India and abroad.
Jyoti has published research papers in peer reviewed journals such as Development Policy Review, Economic and Political Weekly, Journal of Developing Areas, Studies in Microeconomics, etc.
Jyoti is also a co-PI on an impact evaluation study titled “Randomized Evaluation of the Government Implemented Targeting Hard Core Poor Program in Bihar, India” along with Abhijit Banerjee (MIT), Esther Duflo (MIT), and Shagun Sabarwal (JPAL SA). His broad research areas include development economics, applied econometrics and behavioral economics.
A senior banking professional with specialization in Credit and Enterprise Risk Management, C Krishnan joined IFMR in 2013 as ‘Advisor and Consultant – Banking & Financial Services’. He initiated and headed the BFSI initiative, besides teaching ‘Modern Bank Management’ for the 2nd year MBA students and handling sessions at Management Development Programmes for Banks, Financial Institutions and Corporates.
C Krishnan had previously spent 23 years with the ANZ Banking Group in Corporate and SME lending, Risk Management and was also the Country Head of the Bank’s Retail Lending Operations in India. He has also held senior management positions in various banks in India, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar. The last full time position that he held until 2013 was ‘General Manager & Senior Head-Enterprise Risk Management’, Gulf Bank, Kuwait. He also held brief stints as ‘Head – Risk Management’ in the Banking & Financial Services Industry (BFSI) vertical at Tata Consultancy Services and Principal Consultant at Aptivaa Consulting Company, a specialized banking risk management company.
Currently he is the Director, Financial Aid and Senior Advisor, IFMR GSB at Krea University. C Krishnan has also been on the Indian Bank’s Apex Training Advisory Committee for a number of years.
Kumaravel is a Ph.D in the area of Operations Management & Decision Sciences from the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli. His doctoral research is located in the field of behavioral operations management, particularly, in examining the role of heuristics and biases, in supply chain coordination and management. He has been a consistent performer with outstanding academic record and leadership capabilities. He is a recipient of the Director’s Merit Award for scholastic excellence in the first year of coursework at IIM Trichy. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from SSN College of Engineering with a merit scholarship and a gold medal. He has about 3 years of industry experience as a software professional, with Ford Motor Company.
He has presented at leading international conferences such as the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) Annual Conference, European Conference on Operational Research (EURO) Conference and Society of Operations Management (SOM) Conference.
He has served as a teaching assistant and tutor for the post-graduate courses at IIM Trichy. He was a core organizer of the Indian Subcontinent Decision Sciences Conference (2017). He is an ASQ Certified Quality Process Analyst and a Six Sigma Green Belt.

Professor, Economics
Prof. Lakshmi Kumar handles Macro Economics, Managerial Economics, International Business and Micro Finance for Management students at IFMR. She is passionate about understanding the savings behaviour of low income households, rural livelihoods and analysis of Government-provided basic services. Prof Lakshmi has also participated in various field based studies in Tamil Nadu, including projects sponsored by Harvard University, University of California, Irvine and NABARD, India.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (1984) and a Master’s in Econometrics (1987) from University of Madras and PhD from IIT Madras in 2008.
Madhuri Saripalle is an Professor of Economics at IFMR Graduate School of Business, KREA University. She received her doctorate in agriculture economics from the University of Connecticut, U.S.A. She specializes in industrial organization and economic development and her research analyses contemporary issues related to profitability, employment and trade in industry and agri-business sectors. She teaches post graduate courses on micro economics, empirical industrial organization and game theory. She has also worked on research projects funded by international organizations such as Ford Foundation and ILO, related to sustainable agriculture practices, climate friendly Industrialization and labor-intensive industrialization in India. She has published in national and international journals including World Development Perspectives, International Journal of Logistics, Economics and Globalization, IIMB Review and Economic and Political Weekly; as well as book chapters in well recognized publishers such as Springer, Cambridge university Press and Routledge. Her recent publications include: “Determinants of Employment in the Indian Automobile Industry (2021)”, Mango value chains in India (2020), Determinants of Profitability in the Indian Logistics Industry (2018), Jasmine Cultivation in Tamil Nadu: Market Structure and Pricing.
Associate Professor, OB & HR
Prof Nagarani handles Organizational Behaviour, Communication, Learning & Development, Human Resource Management and Cross Cultural Management courses at IFMR GSB. Her research interests are in the areas of Women in Management and Cross Cultural Management.
A post-graduate in English literature from Ethiraj College, Chennai and an MBA from Bharatidasan Institute of Management, Trichy, Prof Nagarani comes with about 33 years of teaching, training and consultancy experience. She started her teaching career in School of Management, Central University, Pondicherry in 1986 and headed the student initiatives for the entire university, before moving on to Bharathidasan Institute of Management in 1990. Prof Nagarani headed the Human resources from 1990 to 2000 at BIM and spearheaded the placements. She was selected by the US Government to represent India in their Young Leaders Program in 1996.
From 2000 to 2007, she was responsible for the Human resources area and placements at IFMR, before moving back to BIM Trichy to head Human Resources and the MDP Areas.
Prof Nagarani has designed and conducted more than 300 Management Development Programmes for organizations like WHO, JIPMER, BHEL, CTS, ABN AMRO, Education Department – Govt. of India, NLC, TNPL, TAFE etc.
Dr. Pallavi Pandey worked with the Indian Institute of Management, Jammu (IIMJ), IMI Bhubaneswar, and O P Jindal University. She has completed her Ph.D. in Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad (IIT-ISM Dhanbad). Her research currently spans contemporary human resource practices, workplace discrimination, and employees’ happiness and well-being at work. She has authored cases in the Richard Ivey Publishing and South Asian Journal of Business Management. She has also served as the Chairperson Anandam- The Center for happiness at IIM Jammu. Her other areas of contribution include conducting Management and Faculty Development Programs as the program director and resource person.
Dr. Pallavi Pandey is an active sportsperson. She represented IIT (ISM)-Dhanbad in various athletic events during her Ph.D. days. She won badminton matches at the university level during her tenure as the Assistant Professor. She actively contributes to social causes. Pallavi was appointed as the Gender Champion for IIT-ISM (Dhanbad) by the Ministry of Human Resource Development; she was also associated with Karma Jyoti (Center for Societal Mission).
Praveen Bhagawan’s research and teaching interests are in the areas of Corporate Finance (more specifically Currency Risk Management), International Financial Management, Financial Statement Analysis, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Prof Bhagawan has presented his research at top academic conferences including the European Financial Management Association, Applied Financial Modelling Conference, India Finance Conference (held at IIM-A, IIM-B, and IIM-C), COSMAR (held at Indian Institute of Science (IISc, Bangalore), and International Conference on Financial Markets & Corporate Finance (held at IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur). He has been awarded Best Paper Award in the area of Corporate Finance for the research papers which he presented at IISc Bangalore in 2013, at IIT Madras in 2016, and at IIT Kanpur in 2018. He also attended the American Finance Association Meetings in 2015. He has published some of his research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Praveen holds a PhD from IFMR GSB and Madras University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Bangalore, and a Masters’ Degree from Bangalore University.
Dr Sathya after Completing MBA from IFMR, have 19 rich years of Work experience of which 10 years he was in the Industry and 9 years in Academia. Initial career started with a Pharmaceutical Company as Sales representative. Later moved to aviation industry and later into banking sector.
Had a vibrant career growth, starting as a Sales Executive to Assistant Vice President. Served and been a part of every marketing department which included Sales, Training, Digital Marketing and Product strategy. Was heading the branches in bank, lead a holistic team of managers who were responsible for revenue and broadening market.
During 2010 moved to Great Lakes Institute of Management as lecturer for marketing as move towards the passion of becoming a teacher.
Dr Sathya, Completed his PhD in Digital Marketing in alliance with search and purchase behaviour of the consumer from the University, SCSVMV – Kanchipuram.
He is associated with than a dozen colleges in Chennai and outer as a visiting prof. and to name a few, IIT- Madras, LIBA and SRM.
He was awarded as the best teacher for the year 2016 by International Business Conference committee, Goa for the contribution towards teaching and research in the area of Marketing.
Been a committee chair in many occasions for to manage an event, conference, department and institution building exercises.

Sathyanarayanan has twenty years of industry and academic experience, having worked in Organizations like BIM, CII, CBS and also in European Union’s Global projects like Economic Cross-Cultural Programme (ECCP). Sathya Considers himself a motivator and enjoys the role of being a catalyst to vibrant, young minds and motivating them towards excellence in their areas of strength.
Prof Sathyanarayanan is one of the Top-6 Global finalists in the “Case for Women – Case study Writing Competition” organized by Forté Foundation, Case For Women and Emerald Publishing (2021). His case study “Happy Self Publishing” has been accepted for publication in “Emerald-The Case for Women Collection”. He was a winner in London Business School’s Case development Initiative (2009) and his case study “Legal Process Outsourcing Opportunity and Cobra Legal Solutions” has been published by Palgrave Macmillan UK.
Sesha Meka is Assistant Professor in Finance and Accounting area. Prior to this, he worked as a full time visiting faculty at IIM Nagpur. He has a Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from IIM Bangalore (2021), an M.S. in Economics from ISI Delhi (2009), and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras (2007). His research interests are in corporate investments, financing choices, and political uncertainty. His work is published in the Journal of Law, Finance, and Accounting. Prior to joining Ph.D., he worked as a researcher at ISB, Hyderabad.
Professor, Strategy
Prof Shobha Das has a PhD degree from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota Twin Cities, a PGDM from IIM Calcutta, and BA (Honors) in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. She was a recipient of the National Talent Search Scholarship for her higher secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
Shobha worked as a Management Consultant in TCS after her PGDM, and after her PhD, she worked at the Nanyang Business School, NTU Singapore (1994-2009), Qatar University (2009-2019), and joined IFMR GSB in 2019.
She pioneered the use of simulation software in Strategic Management in Singapore and Qatar, and now in IFMR GSB. Trained in the case method at the Harvard Business School (PCMPCL program), Dr Das has taught undergraduate, masters’, doctoral and executive courses. She has published research papers in well-known journals such as the Academy of Management Review, Management Science and Strategic Management Journal. She regularly presents her research at international conferences.
Prof. Srinivasan Kalyanasundaram is a Professor of Practice in the area of Finance at IFMR Graduate School of Business, KREA University. He has 3 decades of industry experience across Banking, Capital Markets, Financial Risk Management and Wealth Management. His research interest includes liquidity risk in stock exchanges, impact of FRTB on Indian Banking Sector.
Prof. Srinivasan is a qualified Chartered Accountant (all-India rank 46) and Cost and Management Accountant. He has 16 years of IT and consulting experience with IBM and Cap Gemini. In this time, he has led delivery and solutioning of digital transformation, Blockchain Initiatives, Fintech, Analytics, Trading system revamp and Banking modernization projects for many global banks and capital market firms.
Previously, he has worked at ICICI Bank’s Treasury, Investments, Lending and IT Captive (ICICI Infotech) for over a decade. Further, his academic journey includes two years as a faculty at IFMR’s Centre for Advanced Financial Studies, where he taught Bank Management and Financial Risk Management to MBA students specializing in Finance. He has co-authored white papers on Transaction Banking with several IBM global leaders published by IBM in SIBOS.
Prof. Srinivasan is an IBM certified Blockchain consultant, Banking Platinum Consultant, Financial Markets Gold Consultant and IBM Consulting Profession Expert. He has strong consulting experience specializing in digital transformation, blockchain business value design, process consulting, application portfolio rationalization, and package implementation with BFM Institutions.
Dr. T.V. Subramanian, has several years of industry and consulting experience in the domains of production, material planning, and operations. He is a postgraduate in Statistics, and holds a diploma in Statistical Quality Control and Operations Research from Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta. He obtained his doctoral degree from IIM Ahmedabad. He is an Honorary Fellow Member of Indian Institute of Materials Management. He has handled more than 50 major consultancy assignments for large private and public sector organizations in the areas of inventory management, materials planning, PPC, TQM, Distribution Management, Information systems strategy and Operations Research.
I’m an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Institute for Financial Management and Research, Sri City.
I received my PhD in Development Studies, and M.Sc. in Economics from Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research. My thesis looked into the issue of regional imbalances in Maharashtra. I show that the constitutional mandate in form of the Article 371(2) did not ameliorate regional differences in the state.
My current research examines three aspects of India’s economic development:
The relationship between caste diversity and access to public goods in villages.
The association between segregation and public goods in cities.
The movement from farm to non-farm occupations (structural transformation).
A practitioner of performance / process management, Prof Suresh Venkatraman comes with first-hand experience in establishing new facilities, running delivery organizations, and implementing 5S, Kanban, BSC, CMMI, ISO 9000, TOC, TQM and TS 16949.
A doctoral scholar from IIM Bangalore, his doctoral dissertation on the ‘Adoption of ISO 9000’, earned him the Citibank Award for Excellence in Research. Prof Suresh also has more than 20 years of industry experience across roles in Business Planning, Operations, Projects, PMO, SBU head, and, Supply Chain in the Auto, BPO, Construction, Engineering, and FMCG sector. Most of his industry experience was with the top business groups of South India – Murugappa, TVS and Rane. His stint at Rane NSK exposed him to Japanese Management practices. He has been trained by NSK at their plant in Thailand.
At IFMR, Prof Suresh has taught Probability & Statistics, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, and Contemporary Practices in Operations for PGDM students. He has also handled courses on Lean Management and Business Modelling for VIT BS – Vellore and Chennai campus.
Prof Suresh has been teaching full time at IFMR since 2014, handling core courses in Quantitative Sciences, Operations Management, and electives on Business Process Management. He has designed and developed an elective course titled ‘Operations & Technology’ in the Insurance space. His research and consultancy interests are in the areas of Process Migration, Process Performance and Productivity.
Prof. Tapan Kar has a Ph.D. in Decision Sciences from IIM Bangalore and an M.Sc. in Mathematics from Hyderabad Central University. He has around 4 years of experience at IIM Nagpur as an Assistant Professor. His research interests are in Financial Mathematics, Forecasting, and Time Series Modeling.
Dr. V. N. Rajesh is a seasoned Data Science and Business Analytics Professional with 15 + years of experience in Data Sciences. His rich and diverse experience has seen him engaged in multiple roles that include but are not limited to analytics and data science project delivery, product and platform development, data science consulting & research, Business Analytics COE establishment, and pre-sales & business development activities. He has designed and deployed analytical solutions for multiple clients across global markets in domains as diverse as Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, Healthcare, Railroad, Hospitality and Manufacturing. He has worked with leading IT service providers including Cognizant Technology Solutions, Hexaware, Wipro and Tech Mahindra. In his previous engagement, he was involved in the design and implementation of cutting-edge analytical solutions and policies to foster data-driven decision-making in the Government sector.
In the academia, Rajesh worked as Assistant Professor with the IT & Systems Group of Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML) and as Visiting Associate Professor, Industrial Engineering Group, Mechanical Engineering Area of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), in Madrid, Spain. Rajesh has been an active researcher and has contributed 20+ articles to leading international technical conferences (IEEE ICDM, IEEE IRI, etc.) and refereed journals.
Primarily an engineer, Rajesh holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering (B.E. (Honors)) from the University of Bombay and has completed the Fellow Program in Management (FPM) from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB).
Vijaya C Subramanian has a PhD in Operations Research from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Texas A&M University, College Station and a MS from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Formerly a faculty member at the Madras School of Economics and a Research Associate at the HEC School of Business, Paris, her research interests are in the areas of Quantitative methods, Analytics, Supply chain, Healthcare, Food safety and security.
She has also led Product Development at Aggrigator, a Stanford incubated B2B Agri e-commerce start up and worked at the United Nations, New York in the area of Humanitarian Logistics.
She consults on Healthcare projects to support policy making with organizations such as the Foundation for Medical Research. She has published in the European Journal of Operational Research and IEEE.
Prof Vijayalakshmi’s teaching career has been enriched by her research expertise and interest in organizational transformations in public sector organizations and her corporate experience in senior management positions and as a consultant. An expert in Organizational Behaviour and a Fellow from MDI, Gurgaon, she has a Master’s degree in Agriculture with specialization in Plant Breeding and Agriculture and a PG Diploma in Rural Management from IRMA.
Prof Vijayalakshmi’s research and consulting interests include design and delivery of indigenous psychometric tests in vernacular languages, competency mapping and assessment processes, utilization of existing psychometrics for HR processes, Evaluation of HR processes of both for profit and development sector organizations.
Prof Vijayalakshmi has conducted several workshops in Qualitative research and trained hundreds of executives in interpersonal skills and team work. She has also facilitated workshops using modified T-lab for students titled Journey to Self for understanding one’s behaviour and the impact on others. Her research methods expertise is in the area of Qualitative research methods including ethnography and participatory appraisals, and she has conducted large scale surveys using quantitative methodologies. Prof Vijayalakshmi was part of a DFID funded project on Market-linked rural development approaches. Her current engagement includes working with not-for-profit organizations for enhancing sustainable livelihoods among farm families using technological approaches and Farmer Producer organizations.
Also a member of the Ethics Committee of the Banyan Academy of Leadership in Mental Health, Prof Vijayalakshmi lends support to high quality research in the area of mental health and homelessness.
Dr. Vinod Kumar graduated with a doctoral title in Finance & Accounting from the Indian Institute of Management Indore in March 2017. Prior to this, he earned a PGDM (Finance and Economics) from IIM Lucknow and a Bachelor in Science (Mathematics) from the University of Allahabad. He has 20 years of industrial experience of working in EPFO.
His teaching interests include financial engineering, corporate valuation, investment management, financial management, quantitative application in finance, international finance, economic growth and development. His primary research interests is the Asset pricing, financial market, IPO, behavioural finance, and growth economics
His research papers (published / conference) and current projects include streams of finance and economics as diverse as financial economics to valuation theories. In addition, he has attended several national and international level conferences.
His personal interests include cooking, writing, social work, and readings in history, science discoveries, philosophy, politics, and psychology.
Dr. Akhilesh Prasad is an Assistant Professor of Finance at IFMR Graduate School of Business, Krea University, and his interest is primarily focused on Financial Mathematics, Derivatives, Corporate Finance, Stochastic Calculus, Portfolio Optimization, Financial Risk, Statistics and Machine Learning.
After working extensively for the software industry, he moved into the finance field. He holds B. Tech (H) from IIT Kharagpur, MBA from EDHEC Business School, France and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from S P Jain School of Global Management, Australia. His doctoral thesis is titled “Forecasting spikes in the CBOE VIX Index.” His research papers are mainly published in ABDC listed journals. He also passed Level 2 CFA Exam and Part 2 FRM Exam and holds CQF designation from CQF Institute, Fitch Learning.
