Dr Aishwarya Krishnaswamy started her career at Deloitte Haskins & Sells, a prominent global accounting firm. Serving diverse clients ranging from Hyundai to Microsoft, she garnered invaluable insights, setting a robust foundation for her career.
During her tenure, Dr Krishnaswamy developed a passion for knowledge sharing, prompting her to engage with an institute dedicated to training Chartered Accountant (CA )students. Here, she began teaching mathematics and accounting to aspiring CAs.
Transitioning from Deloitte, she advanced to The World Bank, contributing to the financial reporting and analysis division. Amidst her corporate endeavours, Dr Krishnaswamy remained steadfast in her committment to teaching CA students, nurturing a burgeoning passion for academia.
Following a fulfilling tenure at The World Bank spanning three years, she elected to establish her own practice as a Chartered Accountant. This venture afforded her the flexibility to pursue both her CA career and her pedagogical aspirations. Driven by her commitment to knowledge dissemination, she embarked on a journey culminating in the completion of her PhD at IFMR.
Dr Krishnaswamy’s research pursuits centre around financial reporting, sustainability reporting, corporate governance, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Her teaching portfolio encompasses financial accounting, corporate finance, corporate governance, forensic accounting, and sustainability reporting.
