Dr Praveen Bhagawan is an Associate Professor in the Accounting and Finance area at IFMR GSB, Krea University. He holds a PhD in Finance from IFMR GSB and the University of Madras, as well as a Master’s Degree from Bangalore University. He has presented his research at top academic conferences, including the French Finance Association, the European Financial Management Association, the Applied Financial Modelling Conference, the India Finance Conference (held at IIM-A, IIM-B, and IIM-C), COSMAR (held at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore), and the International Conference on Financial Markets & Corporate Finance (held at IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur).
He has been awarded the Best Paper Award in the area of Corporate Finance for the research papers he presented at IISc Bangalore in 2013, IIT Madras in 2016, and IIT Kanpur in 2018. Additionally, he attended the American Finance Association Meetings in 2015. He has published some of his research papers in peer-reviewed journals. His research interests are in the areas of Corporate Finance, International Financial Management, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
