Dr Sathya Saminadan RS holds a PhD in Marketing from Sri Chandrashekara Viswa Maha Vidyala University and has 21 years of extensive work experience. Initially, he contributed a decade to the corporate industry before transitioning to academia in 2010. Currently, after completing 13 years in academia, he is affiliated with the IFMR Graduate School of Business at Krea University. His professional journey started as a sales representative in a pharmaceutical company, followed by stints in the aviation and banking sectors, ultimately leading him to the academic sphere.
Dr Saminadan’s career witnessed a vibrant growth, progressing from a Sales Executive to Vice President, Marketing. He has been a part of various marketing departments, including Sales, Training, Branding, Digital Marketing, and Product Strategy. As a Vice President, he spearheaded bank branches, overseeing a large, holistic team of managers and shouldering responsibilities for market expansion and revenue generation.
In 2010, Dr Saminadan moved to the Great Lakes Institute of Management, assuming the role of a marketing lecturer, driven by his passion to become a professor.
In 2018, Dr Saminadan completed his PhD in E-commerce in alliance with consumer behaviour from the SCSVMV – Kanchipuram University. Notably, he received the Best Professor Award for the year 2016 from the International Business Conference in Goa. This accolade recognised his significant contributions to teaching and research in the area of Marketing by IMRF, Vijayawada.
Dr Saminadan has published research papers and articles in the domains of E-commerce, SEO strategies, and other marketing domains. Demonstrating his commitment to his profession, he provides consulting services to both startup companies and established firms, assisting them in designing digital strategies and business development models.
Beyond his academic and consulting roles, Dr Saminadan is also a fiction author. His debut fiction work, published in October 2020, emerged as a bestseller and earned acclaim as one of the top books for summer 2021 by DEMode, an international magazine. Furthermore, the book achieved recognition as one of the top sellers on Amazon in 2021.
His second book, The Deception Moment, caused a stir in the bibliophile community with its edge-of-the-seat thriller narrative. Mid-Day quoted the book as the top-ranked one for the year 2022.
