Vismaya is an M.Com graduate in Business Finance from Pondicherry University. After completing her degree, she started her career as a subject matter expert at SPi Technologies Pvt. Ltd, where she could apply her knowledge and skills to real-world projects. She also served as an Academic Associate at the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. In this role, she assisted faculty members in research and teaching, gaining valuable experience and insights in accounting and finance. She also gained hands-on experience in the finance industry during a summer internship at Geojith BNP Paribas Financial Services Ltd, a brokerage firm. This experience exposed her to real-time trading and gave her valuable industry insights. Vismaya’s interests in annual report readability, disclosure analysis of firms and corporate finance are reflected in her academic work, and she continues to deepen her knowledge and skills in these areas. Vismaya’s conference presentations include; World Finance Conference 2022, Research Symposium on Finance and Economics 2022, and International Finance Conference 2022.

The main responsibility was to provide textbook solutions to the clients.
The program helped to learn about the broking firm’s services to its clients and collect data for the academic project to be submitted as part of the PG programme. The internship programme enabled me to understand the foundations of trading and investing and to gain practical experience investing on behalf of the company’s clients.

Vismaya is a highly motivated individual with a diverse range of interests. Academically, she has a passion for research in the areas of annual report readability, disclosure analysis of firms, and corporate finance. She is dedicated to understanding how these factors impact the financial performance of companies and how to improve their transparency and accountability. Outside of her academic pursuits, Vismaya has a love for reading. She enjoys immersing herself in a wide range of literature, from classic novels to contemporary bestsellers. She also enjoys engaging in social activities, including volunteering at local organizations and participating in community events. These interests give her a well-rounded perspective and allow her to apply her knowledge and skills to real-world situations.
