Dr Avishek Majumder is an Assistant Professor at Krea University. His research focuses on cryptography and data security, with a particular interest in searchable encryption, secure databases, post-quantum security, verifiable search, privacy-preserving query processing, and blockchain technology. He received his PhD in Computer Science from the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) in Kolkata, where his research focused on designing efficient and secure cryptographic protocols for secure databases.
Before joining Krea University, Dr Majumder was an Assistant Professor at UPES, Dehradun, and a Research Associate at IIIT Delhi. He holds a B.Tech in Electronics and an M.Tech in Nanoscience. This multidisciplinary background gives him a strong foundation in hardware and system design, which supports his work on building efficient, secure, and future-ready cryptographic solutions in emerging computing paradigms.
At Krea University, he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer science and continues his research in both theoretical and applied cryptography. Outside academia, he enjoys playing chess and badminton and has a keen interest in collecting coins.
