Dr Samyukta Bhupatiraju is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences. Her key areas of interest are Development Economics and Applied Econometrics. She is also interested in Network Economics.
She holds a PhD in Economics from United Nations University – MERIT & Maastricht University (The Netherlands), an Advanced Certificate from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (Germany) and an MA in Economics from University of Hyderabad.
She has previously worked at Mahindra University and Tata Institute of Social Sciences (Mumbai and Hyderabad). She was also an ICSSR Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad.
The focus of her PhD was on the geographic dimensions of growth and development. Since then, she has worked on a variety of issues. Her most recent work focuses on the intersection between finance and development. She has also worked on the development experiences of Latin American economies.
