About the speakers
Dr Kishore Gaurav completed his PhD from the Centre for French and Francophone Studies, JNU. As a translator, he has worked with French, Hindi and English. He has published translations of Garcin de Tassy’s 19th century lectures on literary developments in Hindi-Urdu, Sebastien Ortiz’s Taleb and Jean-Claude Perrier’s travelogue Dans les Comptoirs de l’Inde, among others. He will talk about his interest in the field of translation, and read from his work. He is currently a Visiting Faculty at Krea University.

Dipannita Ghosh has studied in JNU and Jadavpur University, and is an ICCSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research) scholar. Her research encompasses literature and popular culture studies. She will speak on how digital appendages, namely our mobile phones, are governing our lives, and the role that playable-story gaming apps play in that allure. She is currently a Visiting Faculty at Krea University.
