
Dr Sathya Saminadan RS brings 23 years of rich experience across industry and academia and holds a PhD in Marketing, specialising in E-commerce. Over the course of his career, he has seamlessly bridged corporate leadership and academic scholarship, bringing practical depth into the classroom and research insight into industry engagements.
After completing his doctoral research in Marketing with a specialisation in E-commerce, in alliance with consumer behaviour from SCSVMV University, Kanchipuram, he further pursued a Postgraduate Programme in advanced Digital Marketing strategies at Purdue University, strengthening his global academic exposure and research orientation.
Dr Sathya Saminadan began his professional journey as a Sales Representative in the pharmaceutical industry and went on to build an extensive corporate career spanning aviation, banking, and financial services. Rising from Sales Executive to Vice President – Marketing, he has led diverse verticals including Sales, Training, Branding, Digital Marketing, and Product Strategy. As Vice President, he managed large cross-functional teams, drove market expansion initiatives, and was responsible for revenue growth and branch leadership.
Over the years, driven by a deep passion for teaching and knowledge creation, he transitioned into academia. He is currently associated with the IFMR Graduate School of Business at Krea University. His teaching and research interests span Digital Marketing ,B2B Marketing and Sales Strategies. He received the Best Professor Award in 2016 at the International Business Conference (Goa), conferred by IMRF, Vijayawada, in recognition of his contributions to marketing education and research.
His research publications cover areas such as E-commerce strategy, SEO, digital transformation, and evolving consumer behaviour in technology-mediated markets.
Beyond academia, Dr. Sathya Saminadan actively consults with startups and established firms in the areas of Digital Strategy, Sales Effectiveness, and Customer Centricity, helping organizations design scalable growth and engagement models.
Dr Sathya has delivered executive education and strategic training programs for premier organisations such as L&T, ISRO, Sundaram Finance, WayCool, and Hyundai. He has initiated and trained many Entrepreneurs, the Income Tax Department of India, and Government-supported Self Help Groups in Tamil Nadu and Entrepreneurship workshops for retiring army officers of India.
Dr. Sathya Saminadan is also a fiction author known for crafting high-intensity thrillers under the name ‘Sathya Sam’ . His debut novel, ‘Gauri..!!’ published in 2020, became a bestseller and was recognized by DEMode as one of the top books for Summer 2021.
His second novel, The Deception Moment, received critical attention and was quoted by Mid-Day as a top-ranked book of 2022.
His recent book, The Kingmaker Conspiracy, further strengthened his reputation as a gripping storyteller, blending political intrigue with strategic insight.
Through his combined roles as professor, consultant, and author, Dr Sathya Saminadan continues to integrate strategy, storytelling, and scholarship, shaping both boardrooms and classrooms.
