Dr Swayam Sampurna Panigrahi specialises in Sustainable Supply Chain Management, for which she earned her PhD from XIMB, XIM University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Her research interests include supply chain sustainability, business and human rights, e-waste management, industry 4.0 and operations, among others.

Prior to joining IFMR, she gained experience at prestigious institutions such as the Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad, International Management Institute, Bhubaneswar, and WoU, Telangana. Throughout her career, she has been recognised multiple times for her scholarly contributions. Notably, she received two Best Paper awards: one at the WIPRO-XUB Sustainability Summit in 2016 and another at the 105th Indian Economic Association Annual International Conference in 2022. Additionally, she was honored with the prestigious MSME Fellowship from NIMSME, Hyderabad, under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. Furthermore, she received two consecutive Emerald Literati awards from the Emerald Publishing House, Bingley, UK. She is an Associate Member of the Business and Human Rights Forum at Columbia University and holds certification as a Pro-Associate-Level ESG Professional.
