Before joining the PhD programme at IFMR GSB, Jyothis worked at Deva Matha College Kuravilangad, affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala as an Assistant Professor. The subjects she handled were Basic Econometrics, Microeconomics, and Public Finance. She is an MSc Economics graduate from Pondicherry University. She served as a research intern at the Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram, and at the Kerala Institute for Local Administration, Thrissur.
Her area of interests are in Consumer Behaviour and Advertising Ethics. She currently works on understanding the literature on advertising ethics.
