Nagarani N oversees Organisational Behaviour, Communication, Learning & Development, Human Resource Management and Cross Cultural Management courses at IFMR GSB. Her research interests lie in the areas of Women in Management and Cross Cultural Management. A Post-Graduate in English Literature from Ethiraj College, Chennai and an MBA from Bharatidasan Institute of Management, Trichy, she brings with her approximately 33 years of teaching, training and consultancy experience.
She commenced her teaching career at the School of Management, Central University, Pondicherry in 1986 and led student initiatives for the entire university before joining Bharathidasan Institute of Management in 1990. She served as the Head of Human Resources from 1990 to 2000 at BIM, spearheading placements. In 1996, she was selected by the US Government to represent India in their Young Leaders Program.
From 2000 to 2007, she was responsible for the Human Resources area and Placements at IFMR, before moving back to BIM Trichy to head Human Resources and the MDP Areas. She has designed and conducted more than 300 Management Development Programmes for organisations such as WHO, JIPMER, BHEL, CTS, ABN AMRO, Education Department – Govt of India, NLC, TNPL, TAFE, etc.
